Country Club Plaza District

The districts were developed in 1922 boasting of an array of shops and restaurants. The district features the unique implementation of Spanish-styled architecture. Both the University of Missouri and the Kansas City Art Institute are located within the District. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art are within the district. 18TH & Vine District

Crossroads Arts District

This is home to several restaurants and galleries. The district is famous for its monthly art bonanza featuring pop-up galleries and food trucks. The event is designed to showcase the various cultures and diversities that live in Kansas City.

Crown Center

Hallmark developed this district for kids. The crown center comprises of an aquarium, LEGOLAND, and Kaleidoscope. There are several mid to upscale stores, and visitors can stay at the Sheraton Crown Center or the Westin Crown Center. The district is a short walk from Liberty Memorial (which features a world-class World War One museum). Visitors can connect to Union Station and the rest of Crown Center via a skywalk called the Link.
